*work location can be the Troy , NY or Clarks Summit , PA Client office The Operational Readiness Specialist will plan for and implement steps to insure IT operational readiness at the macro level as well as for the individual components for new tenants entering into the enterprise s U.S. IT environment. Areas for preparation include data centers, infrastructure operations services, vendor services alignment, service performance metrics, reporting, analysis and planning for ongoing improvement. The Specialist will collaborate with Operational Readiness Tower lead, Operational Readiness Team, Enterprise Infrastructure and IT leadership to ensure the strategy and implementation meets stakeholders needs and compliments the enterprise roadmap for globalization of Infrastructure and IT services. Areas for preparation include data centers, infrastructure operations services, vendor services alignment, service performance metrics, reporting, analysis and planning for ongoing improvement. The Specialist will collaborate with Operational Readiness Tower lead, Operational Readiness Team, Enterprise Infrastructure and IT leadership to ensure the strategy and implementation meets stakeholders needs and compliments the enterprise roadmap for globalization of Infrastructure and IT services. List of responsibilities Providing guidance, direction, technical expertise and oversight in the development of infrastructure operations services for new tenants at the U.S. data center; The key services that will be developed include but are not limited to IT Service Desk, Incident, Problem, and Change Management, iOS, Distributed Server and Storage Support, Vendor Operations Management, Systems Monitoring and Triage, Network Operations Services, Patch Management, Batch-trail Management, Database Administration, WebSphere Application Server and Middleware Administration, Disaster Recovery Work collaboratively across IT and Business teams to define Service Level Agreements for each service. Implement tools and processes to manage SLA's ongoing Monitor and assist with process correction in the post-implementation space Required expertise Relevant 10+ years information technology experience: 5+ years in Infrastructure; 5+ years management or project management experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related discipline), or 7 years of equivalent technical experience Proven experience in building and executing a successful business plan. Able to manage large scale profit/loss statements and budgets Solid, broad experience with and knowledge of infrastructure services (hosting, storage, mainframe, network, voice, etc.). Ability to lead and manage change in a cross-functional, complex environment. Strong executive presence and relationship management skills. Excellent communication, negotiation and executive presentation skills Preferred experience Previous director level management experience in an operational role in the information technology industry, preferably in financial services/IT environment Experience with industry Benchmarks and Competitive Analysis Experience in the definition & measurement of Service Level Agreements Experience in the definition & execution of Technology Roadmaps Strong experience in Vendor Management, Contract Management, Negotiations, RFPs, SOWs, Master Agreements. Ideally, experience will include a blend of strategic and operational experience with strong customer side exposure Experience with Disaster Recovery planning and execution ITIL certification and / or demonstrable experience with IT process improvement
